Yoana is native from Bogota. She received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology at The University of Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia,
and her master’s degree at the State University of New York. She is the current director of the Energy Institute of the Americas at the
Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. Yoana has been the advisor of COLSA since it was founded in 2001. She helped set up in 1995-6 the
current exchange programs between Colombian Universities and the University of Oklahoma. Besides the hard work for COLSA, Yoana enjoys making
ethnic jewelry.

Carolina is currently a senior at the University of Oklahoma, double majoring in International Security and international Relations.
She is now the current secretary for COLSA! Though she considers herself a Miami girl--calle ocho--she is proud to be part Cuban
and part Chilean. She has studied not only in the States but also in Santiago, Chile and in Salamanca, Spain and loves to travel and study
different cultures. She loves salsa, bachata and reggaeton music, dancing, cooking ropa vieja, reading, debating, tostones, spending time
with her husband and learning more about Colombia's colorful culture and history!

Carlos Molinares, Treasurer

Carlos is native from Cúcuta. He is working towards his Master degree in Geology at the University of Oklahoma. He received a bachelor's degree in Geology at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá) and a Master degree in Earth Science at Universidad EAFIT (Medellín). He is the current COLSA Treasurer and has been an active COLSA's member since fall 2011. Carlos loves the Earth, oceans and particularly Beaches. Carlos is an amateur micropaleontology and he loves spending time with his wife Liliana and daughter Camila exploring Natural Parks in Colombia (Tayrona Park Awesome !!!).

He is a Civil Engineer at the Universidad Industrial de Santander - UIS, and a current Master's student in Construction Administration at the University of Oklahoma. Since he came to Oklahoma had been a active member of COLSA, and now he is glad to be part of COLSA's officers. He likes travel, photography, hiking, biking, camping, adventure, play the drums, listen music, and watch movies.

Sergio was born and raised in Bucaramanga, Colombia. While he was living in Colombia, he spent his days among Bucaramanga, Bogota and Cucuta,
each one of these cities has a special place into his heart and soul. He obtained his bachelor's degree as an Electronics Engineering at
the Industrial University of Santander, Bucaramanga. He comes to OU to pursue his Master's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
He is motivated about being a chair of COLSA as a way to give his acknowledgements either to the Colombian Alumni Association (COUAA)
and COLSA, whom made possible to him to travel and arrive to OU in order to begin his graduate studies.
Sergio enjoys a lot to meet new people from everywhere around the world, travel, walk, ride his bike among other activities, specially if
it is about to get new good experiences in life. While he travels, he enjoys showing to his peers and every person he meets the best
aspects of the Colombian Culture, Geography, History and Gastronomy.
Also, he loves the history, specially those related with the WWII and loves to help others, he has been a volunteer in Smile
Colombia Missions twice, in 2011 and 2012, both done at Bucaramanga, Colombia.

Cristian is currently a graduate student on Chemical Engineering. He was an exchange student during 2010 and come again to OU in
Spring 2012 to continue his research project until his graduation as Chemical Engineer at the National University of Colombia. He is
the main promotor of the COLSA's spanish club. His friends describe him as a very funny and friendly guy.

Camille was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. She fell in love with Colombia after spending the Fall 2011 semester as an exchange student at La Universidad Nacional in Bogotá. Camille is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She loves running, cooking, and spending time with her family.
