Dr. Brian P. Grady has two research foci, surfactants and polymers, at the University of Oklahoma. He is the Director of the School of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering in the Gallogly College of Engineering. He is also the Director for the Institute for Applied Surfactant Research at the University of Oklahoma

He is a Technical Fellow and Honored Service Member of the SPE and served as the President of the Society in 2018-19. SPE has almost 25,000 members all over the world and is the premier professional organization for plastics professionals.

In 2016-2018, he was the Chair for the Surfactants and Detergents Division of the American Oil Chemists Society

In 2014, he was the President of the North American Thermal Analysis Society

He is the Faculty Advisor for Triangle Fraternity at the University of Oklahoma

Dr. Grady also is on the steering committee and co-advises students at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
