The University of Oklahoma (OU) chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) dedicates itself to developing the professional and technical mindsets of our members. We achieve this goal through corporate sponsorships from the chemical engineering industry.
Over 130 students actively participate in the OU AIChE technical meetings, conferences, and competitions. Technical meetings occur on the first Wednesday of the month during the fall and spring semesters. The purpose of these meetings is to expose undergraduate and graduate students to the expansive opportunities available to Chemical Engineers. These meetings center on presentations from speakers that are Chemical Engineers working in various areas of industry. This year our speakers represent Oil and Gas, Materials, and Biotechnology industries.
Last year we sent members to the AIChE national and regional conferences in November and April respectively. This year we plan on sending 30 members to the national conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and more to the regional conference in Rolla, Missouri. OU AIChE also sponsors teams for the Chem-E-Car competition held at the AIChE conferences. At the regional conference in Lincoln, Nebraska, one of our OU Chem Car teams placed third, thus qualifying for the National Competition in Philadelphia this year. Additionally, we are excited to have several new teams this year, already working to get ready for the spring regional competition.
We fund our activities through T-shirt sales, annual dues, private donations, and corporate sponsorships. We would greatly appreciate any form of support from your corporation in the form of technical speakers, industrial facility tours, or monetary assistance. We will increase awareness of your corporation to the members of our society through our actions and will gladly display your logo on our website and/or shirts. Please contact me anytime by email at eveser1@ou.edu if you have any questions. Thank you for your time and your support of OU AIChE.

        Sincerely,
