Dr. Brian P. Grady has two research foci, surfactants and polymers, at the University of Oklahoma. He is the Director of the School of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering in the College of Engineering. He is also the Director for the Institute for Applied Surfactant Research at the University of Oklahoma

He is a Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers and currently serves as the Councilor for the Oklahoma Section as well as the Membership Chair for the Engineering Properties and Structure Division.

He is the current President of the North American Thermal Analysis Society

He is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Surfactants and Detergents Division of the American Oil Chemists Society

He is the Faculty Advisor for Triangle Fraternity at the University of Oklahoma

Dr. Grady also teaches courses, is on the steering committee and co-advises students at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
